7 Ups And 6 Downs From Last Night's WWE Raw (Oct. 12)

5. Less Talking, More Fighting

Drew McIntyre Randy Orton

Having Raw open with another… methodical… Randy Orton promo is not exactly a way to captivate and capture fans’ attention, but thankfully, it was somewhat brief.

Orton went through his usual spiel, including noting that Drew McIntyre hadn’t been pinned in nearly a year before the Viper did so in the six-man main event last week. But before it could be dragged down or just be a simple talkfest, McIntyre joined us to deliver some quick comments before reminding Orton that he had promised to beat up the Apex Predator every time they were in the same room.

Cue the beatdown. McIntyre laid into Orton, getting the upper hand and running him off. The champ then promised to spend the next three hours looking to beat him up - which he did.

Look, this feud isn’t doing anything for this writer. It should have been wrapped up after their decisive ambulance match last month. But if we’re stuck with it for at least a couple more weeks, at least please keep it simple with action – and no lamenting the beaten-down WWE legends.
