7 Ups And 6 Downs From Last Night's WWE Raw (Oct. 12)

6. Nowhere Else To Go

Talk about a lost year.

Braun Strowman fell a**-backwards into the WWE Universal Championship at WrestleMania 36, winning the title as a last-minute replacement for Roman Reigns. He went on to hold the title for five months before losing it to The Fiend, who subsequently lost it to Reigns a week later in a triple threat – where it was Strowman who was pinned.

You’d think Braun’s crowning career achievement would be something to celebrate, but it was quite the opposite. It was a tremendous disappointment and has widely been considered a disaster, full stop.

Strowman desperately needed a change of pace, so this move has to be both expected and applauded. And with Lars Sullivan returning and heading to SmackDown, the “monster” quotient on the blue brand already was filled.
