7 Ups And 6 Downs From WWE Extreme Rules 2016
1. Not A Good Guy Or A Bad Guy
Look, this whole, Im not a good guy, Im not a bad guy, Im the guy routine is just getting silly now. Sunday night, the Usos blatantly not only leveled the playing field in the main event by taking out Karl Anderson and Luke Gallows, they also interfered in the world title match.
WWE can try as much as they want, but general rules say that babyfaces do not interfere like the Usos did. Thats something villains do especially if the bad guys dont do it first. It seems like WWE is trying to make Roman Reigns into a tweener champion, which is really tough to pull off. Steve Austin was wildly successful, both on camera and in being a draw and a sale for the company. Reigns is likely far from that, with fans tuning out rather than tuning in.
WWE needs to pick a character and stick with it. If Roman is turning heel and is going to hold onto the title through any means necessary, then so be it. But if hes going to be protected and allowed to straddle the line, then there are going to be problems down the line.
