7 Ups And 6 Downs From WWE Raw (June 22)

5. A Coveted Title

As much guff as this column has given Nia Jax for being lackluster overall, she does have a presence, and despite losing two Raw Women’s Championship title shots last week, keeping her in the conversation isn’t the worst idea.

Nia had a brief sit-in during Raw Monday night, protesting that Charlotte Flair simply said, “Woooo!” and got a title shot despite Jax losing via fast-count last week. It was a fair argument, and it led to Flair coming out and trading insults with Nia before the two brawled.

That brawl continued later after Charlotte lost her title match, with Jax attacking her backstage and potentially injuring her.

If nothing else, it just showed that everyone wants a shot at Asuka’s Raw Women’s Championship, and rather than just having the challenger of the month, some of the potential challengers battle each other for a title shot.
