This turn of fate for Akira Tozawa, becoming a comic relief character leading a group of ninjas (in 2020) isn’t exactly a career winner, but when played correctly, it has potential.

And matching Tozawa and his faceless charges up against R-Truth over the 24/7 Championship is just fine by us. Truth has been a comical genius at times with the title, and having him contend with the ninjas worked just fine Monday night. But then, last week came back to haunt him.

Bobby Lashley laid out Truth for getting the winning pin in last week’s tag team bout, leaving him ripe for Akira to pick the bones. Sure enough, Tozawa pinned Truth to win the 24/7 title, which now could lead to some fun with R-Truth having to overcome a bunch of faceless ninjas to reclaim his baby.

So in this case, we’ll just go with it.
