Sadly for WWE, that chant came at a terribly inappropriate time Monday night. After watching Triple H brutalize the #1 contender for his world title and Pedigree him on the steel steps, the fans begged for another Pedigree. This cant be what WWE wants six weeks out from WrestleMania, with the future face of the company being openly booed and the supposed biggest villain getting cheered. Roman had his nose busted and was gushing blood at the end of Raw, and fans cheered as Hunter pummeled him. This comes after WWE spent months telling the story of Reigns being beaten down by the Authority and having to overcome adversity at every turn. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=6lDeqh261nQ You know what that means? Fans dont buy it, and they arent buying into Roman. They just dont. If you want more proof, listen to the crowd during Reigns match against heat vacuum Sheamus, as they did an alternating, Lets go Roman!/Roman sucks! chant, ala John Cena. The difference is that you dont see a hell of a lot of Roman Empire T-shirts in the crowd. If your top babyface is hated by half the crowd and isnt moving merchandise, then you better have a Plan B, because Plan A is going to collapse at some point.
