7 Ups And 7 Downs From Last Night's WWE Raw (Jan 25)
6. A Matter Of Respect
You have to give Triple H his props. For as bad and Stephanie and Vince McMahon have been as heel authority figures, Triple H has been able to salvage this angle somewhat upon his return. For example, Hunters comment about how WWE is his religion and Vince is God actually resonated well when he talked about Roman Reigns lack of respect. Triple H made Roman out to be a disrespectful punk who didnt deserve the world championship, and thats why he took the title. Hunter is world champ not because he has to be, but because he wants to be. Yes, thats an extremely arrogant reason, but it makes you hate the character and want to see him get his comeuppance. Thats known as heat, exactly what this kind of match should have. Its a shame that Vince and Stephanie cant figure this sort of thing out. After all, the McMahons invented professional wrestling, correct?
