7 Ups And 7 Downs From Last Night's WWE Raw (Jan 25)

4. Setting Up A Triple Threat?

It would be easy to criticize the abrupt nature of the Sasha Banks versus Becky Lynch match on Raw, especially considering it was a solid PPV match in NXT and has been treated as an afterthought in WWE. But in this case, the brief battle between the two served to set up a run-in from Charlotte, who took out both women to stand tall over them. This came 24 hours after Charlotte defended her Divas Championship against Becky with a little help from her father Ric Flair, only to be assaulted by a returning Banks. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=UoTdJRXiW1Y All of this seems to set up a triple threat Divas Championship match between the former NXT stars, which would be a hell of a WrestleMania match if that€™s where WWE is heading. If they are indeed building toward that, it could be a watershed moment for women€™s wrestling (provided it€™s booked right and given time). We€™ve got 10 weeks to see if they can pull it off.
