7 Ups And 7 Downs From Last Night's WWE Raw (Nov 9)

That flushing sound you heard was Bray Wyatt's career. Should've entered the tournament.

The wrestling world was abuzz all weekend with news that WWE World Heavyweight Champion Seth Rollins had blown out his knee, landing himself on the shelf for the next six to nine months, and vacating the world title in the process. WWE quickly announced a €œhistoric€ tournament to crown a new champ. Speculation immediately ran wild with rumors and wishful thinking of who would fill those bracket spots. Who would return to WWE? Who would get promoted from NXT? We got our answer Monday night, as Raw emanated from Manchester, England. Unfortunately, that answer was €œD. None of the Above.€ The brackets were unveiled with little fanfare, revealing a 16-man field that included no surprises, unless a returning Big Show qualified as a shock. In addition to the first five first-round matches €“ which were entertaining and energetic €“ Raw also featured a Wyatt Family eulogy for Kane and the Undertaker, which went about as predictably as any wrestling wedding typically has. The Brothers of Destruction did not go gentle into that good night, but did the entire feud get sent off to the mortuary? With less than two weeks until the 29th Survivor Series, what advanced to the next round and what didn€™t make it out of the starting blocks? Let€™s get to it€
