7 Ups And 7 Downs From Last Night's WWE Raw (Sept 14th)

5. Who Is It?

In television, cliffhangers can be great tools to hook viewers. End an episode with the heroes in peril and the situation left unresolved, and you€™ve got a perfect reason for people to tune in next week. That might be what WWE is trying to do with the question of who will team with Dean Ambrose and Roman Reigns against the Wyatt Family being left unanswered. But it seems to miss the mark somewhat. When Ambrose and Reigns confronted the Wyatts in the ring, it looked like they were setting it up for the mystery partner to walk out from the back to pop the crowd and encourage them to watch Night of Champions on the WWE Network Sunday night. Rather than doing that, Reigns simply told Bray Wyatt that they had found a third man and that the trio was going to topple the Wyatts. There wasn€™t much intrigue to it €“ no hints or mentions that this guy was new or a familiar face €“ which means there was nothing to whet fans€™ appetite and motivate them to tune in. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=UmGYB4WO6cQ This either means that WWE is hoping that fans instinctively tune in to see who this mystery partner is without a real dramatic cliffhanger€ or they don€™t really have anyone of consequence in mind, and we get someone like Mark Henry.
