The moment Ronda Rousey showed up on Raw, WWE began playing up the relationship between Rousey and Natalya, the latter being the champion’s training partner and “best friend.”

While that provided Rousey with a veteran backup to help guide her in these early days, it also provided Ronda with an eventual opponent when Nattie predictably turns on her. But Monday, we got another hint that this is coming when Rousey discussed issuing an open challenge for a title match.

Nattie noted that anybody could answer the challenge, and Ronda would never know who that person was. So when Rousey issued the challenge later, Natalya’s music hit… only for the Riott Squad to haul her lifeless body out to the ramp.

Even though the match didn’t happen, we know that Nattie is willing to face her training partner if it means a title match. Watch this space.
