7 Ups And 8 Downs From Last Night's WWE Raw (June 17)

7. That’s Some Pep Talk

When AJ Styles approached his former running buddies Karl Anderson & Luke Gallows backstage, it looked like a truth-telling session.

Styles noted that the Good Brothers came into WWE three years ago on fire, but had grown complacent, cashing checks and making jokes. He asked when was the last time they won a match, or had even been on Raw. He tried to pump them up as they went out for a tag match against the Usos – which they promptly lost because they got cute.

So just like that, Anderson & Gallows got broken down, built up and then beaten. What was the point? If we had any faith in WWE to tell a coherent story and continue this angle next week, it might get a pass.

But odds are, it’ll be forgotten by next Monday and we’ll be left wondering what happened to the Good Brothers when they aren’t on Raw for the next month, aside from chasing R-Truth around the arena.
