This is why Chris Jericho is AJ Styles first feud in WWE. This is also why when AJ lost to Jericho last week, this writer didnt complain about 50/50 booking. Y2J sat in on commentary during the Styles/Miz match, constantly putting the Phenomenal One over, saying multiple times that he respects him as a competitor, but he just doesnt like him that much. Jericho played up AJs offensive arsenal, giving the newcomer a ton of credit for his pre-WWE accomplishments. And by talking him up rather than just belittling a new guy who a segment of the viewing audience might not know, Jericho has built his opponent up so if and when Styles wins their rematch, well know it means something.
