7 Ups And 9 Downs From Last Night's WWE Raw (Feb 1)
2. Foreshadowing The Inevitable
Sometimes it sucks to think ahead to the next big event. Fastlane is three weeks away, with a triple threat match to determine the #1 contender for the WWE World Heavyweight Championship. But if you pay even the slightest bit of attention, you probably know that Brock Lesnar is most likely not going to be that guy and you know the reason why. In the lead-up to the Royal Rumble and at the Rumble itself, Brock tangled with Bray Wyatt and his Wyatt Family, with the minions costing him the world title in the Rumble match. Paul Heyman referenced this Monday night, noting that Lesnar would at his convenience dispatch of the Wyatts, before moving on to talk about the Fastlane triple threat a match that (like the Rumble) is no DQ. (See the obvious yet?) If Brock wanted to be assured of a clear path to WrestleMania for the world title, he would spend the next couple weeks hunting down the Wyatts and taking them out of action before Fastlane. But we wont see that, so you can practically bank on what happens next. That doesnt mean it will be bad, just that its obvious (as of right now).
