7 Ups And 9 Downs From Last Night's WWE Raw (Oct 17)

1. Adventures Of The Odd Couple

Why does it feel like the major breakthrough for Sheamus and his court-appointed tag team partner (thanks New Day) Cesaro is going to come on an episode of Ride Along, and we’ll have to hear about it and relive it on Raw one week?

But for now, fans are enduring the forced tandem of Sheamus and Cesaro, as each man has now antagonized the other by ignoring his partner’s singles match against a member of New Day by using Facebook Live. The end result in both cases has been Sheamus and Cesaro getting rolled up for losses. And then they bicker with each other some more.

Surely there will come a moment where they suddenly click and are on the same page (at least somewhat), but Team Hell No this is not. Maybe it’ll strike a chord an actually be amusing, but the angle feels really forced, from Mick Foley making them tag to them annoying each other by ignoring the other.

Are we supposed to root for this Odd Couple to put their differences aside and fight for the tag titles? If so, the writers are doing a lousy job of making fans care about them getting along.
