After a night of matches that ranged from inoffensive to good, we were due for something really good, and we got it in the form of the WWE Universal Championship match.

AJ Styles and Seth Rollins delivered a competitive, energetic and exciting match that started off with a slow feeling-out process before turning into an all-out battle between two of the best wrestlers on the roster. The counters were fantastic, with Styles turning an attempted Revolution Knee into an Ushigoroshi, a Stomp into a Calf Crusher, and a Stomp into a Styles Clash for a breathtaking two count.

The match had no lulls or down parts, and this all-action affair ended with Rollins defending and getting a clean victory, which is what you’d hope your champ would do every now and again.

In the end, Styles (who played the heel in the build-up to this match but played the bout fair), offered a handshake, signifying the end of the feud, for now.
