7 Ups And 9 Downs From WWE Money In The Bank 2019

7. Becky Afterthought

It’s tough to pass judgment on what happened in the two women’s title matches Sunday night.

First, Lacey Evans was clearly being led by the hand by Becky Lynch through their Raw Women’s Championship match, with Lynch calling spots left and right as Lacey muddled through. It wasn’t a bad match, but it sure as hell wasn’t a standout performance that you’d think Evans would have to give after being instantly elevated to the top of the division and getting the first title shot.

So of course Lacey showed up during Becky’s match against Charlotte Flair, tagging Lynch with a Woman’s Right when the ref wasn’t looking, allowing Flair to win the SmackDown Women’s Championship and end the Becky 2 Belts era.

It really was only a matter of time before Becky would relinquish one of the two titles, but this was just painful, because it likely means that Lacey will get another shot at the Raw title because Lynch will demand another match.

Because WWE.
