There are going to be times that a referee will understandably “miss” a call in WWE.

But the ref counting Samoa Joe’s shoulders down in the United States Championship match against Rey Mysterio was beyond ridiculous, with the referee looking right at Joe’s left shoulder being a full six inches off the mat.

Worse, this was the second straight PPV match between the two men that was cut ridiculously short and can only be described as a huge disappointment. Joe and Rey had a 60-second match, and this one didn’t go much longer. Their second bout – a Raw match three weeks ago – lasted 7+ minutes, about three times longer than the other two combined.

If this is all supposed to be leading to Rey’s son Dominic getting in the ring, then please get to the point. Because what we’re getting is a really disappointing feud and an unnecessary title change Sunday night.
