7 Ups And 9 Downs From WWE Money In The Bank 2019

8. Tag Champs Lose To Further Wild Card Rule

Apparently, WWE is really trying to get the unpredictability of the Wild Card Rule™ over with fans, so that means beating your SmackDown tag champs with a Raw tag team that was engaged in a sophomoric prank war just a couple weeks ago.

To be fair, the Usos, are an accomplished, decorated tag team, and they were just involved in in a tag title bout with Daniel Bryan & Rowan to crown the new SmackDown Tag Team Champions. But then we get a PPV kickoff match (and that’s a story for another day, with the former WWE Champion now on the kickoff show a month later) pitting the SmackDown tag champs against Raw’s newest tag team, the Usos.

And wouldn’t you know it, the Usos won the non-title match, because of course they did. That’s the only way WWE knows how to tell stories – champs lose non-title matches to advance storylines rather than using some other intelligent plot line. But also, Bryan & Rowan lost to a Raw team, leading to speculation about what this means – do the Usos get a SmackDown tag title shot now?

Uggh. This makes your head hurt.
