7 Ways To Add Intrigue To Brock Lesnar vs. John Cena Rematch

4. Emphasize The "Big Fight" Feel

One of the things WWE deserves a lot of credit for in the build-up to SummerSlam was in the promotion of the main event, framing it as more of a fight between two bitter rivals akin to UFC than as a typical sports entertainment affair. That€™s definitely the route to go this time around as well, just with even more spectacle and hype. The company should run a series of Network-exclusive programs promoting the match, including all the added stipulations, with footage of their previous encounters and talking head segments from current and past superstars giving their input. Vince McMahon could even make a reappearance out of character underlining the importance of the match, which would hold a lot of weight since we haven€™t seen him on camera in quite a while. The UFC Primetime shows have been pretty successful for building interest in fights and giving fans a glimpse into the personalities behind the fighters, and this would be an extension of that concept, albeit with a pro wrestling twist. Mix in some €œRocky€ style training montages along the lines of what Brock and The Rock did prior to SummerSlam 2002 and you€™ve got a recipe for increased anticipation.
