2. Gender Equality

In order to not only be a worthy successor to SmackDown! but best the WWE program, NXT must embrace what the main programs cannot; meaning an equally solid focus on female talent within the roster. NXT does not feel the need to fill its women€™s division up with models and failed actresses and instead provides the WWE universe with some of the most talented wrestlers in the industry. NXT currently boasts an impressive roster of women fighting it out for the NXT Women€™s Championship and workers like Charlotte, Sasha Banks and Bayley regularly go on to steal the show. With these women at the helm of the female division, NXT has proved itself as a great training ground for both sexes and, as such, has become a commendable source of gender equality within both the sports and entertainment industries. Unfortunately, if Paige and Emma are examples of what could happen to an NXT superstar, the chances that WWE gets on board with NXT€™s equality philosophy are looking slim at best.
