3. Check Out A War Games Match To See What WWE Should Have Done
When WWE used the Battleground name last year a lot of people were hoping that maybe WWE would bring back the Wargames match for it. If you're too young to know about it or you weren't watching NWA/WCW then what you need to know is that wrestling fans loved that match. There were two rings side by side. A huge cage covered both of them with a roof on it. The match had eight or ten guys on each side. Two people start, then others enter every two minutes and once all the guys are in the ring the match can only end via submission. It was a staple in NWA/WCW, but when WWE bought WCW in 2001 they didn't use the match ever. There were several great Wargames matches like the ones in 1991 and 1992 (try to count how many guys bleed) and even a stinker in 1998, but in general it's a great match that was so unique. It would be amazing if WWE did a Wargames match again, but there isn't any confirmation that it's going to happen any time soon. Good thing we have WWE Network so we can remember just how amazing that match was.
