7 Ways To Make Sure Dean Ambrose Is A Successful WWE Champion

5. Tone Down The Wackiness

By 'tone down the wackiness', I mean 'please don't involve Dean Ambrose in any wackiness'.

Ever since The Shield exploded onto our screens at Survivor Series in 2012 Dean Ambrose has been portrayed as a loose cannon, a legitimately crazy man who can and will do anything at any time. Even at the end of last night's show, the commentary team were speculating on what a WWE with this lunatic at the helm would look like.

The problem with this is that WWE is extremely childish when it comes to Dean Ambrose and his 'crazy'. It has all-too-frequently devolved into cartoon-style wackiness, most memorably when he commandeered a hot dog vendors cart and covered Randy Orton and Kane in mustard and ketchup.

You can portray Dean Ambrose as crazy and maintain an edge whilst doing it. One example that seemed to tick all the boxes was when he challenged Brock Lesnar to a match at WrestleMania. After being decimated by the Beast Incarnate, Ambrose drove an ambulance back to the arena and proceeded to confront Lesnar, only getting further violence for his trouble.

The ambulance aspect was clearly quite silly, but the never-say-die-despite-being-dead attitude that came afterwards made Ambrose a hero in the eyes of the audience. Ambrose as champion must follow that 'crazy' avenue, as opposed to the one that involves condiments.

Born in the middle of Wales in the middle of the 1980's, John can't quite remember when he started watching wrestling but he has a terrible feeling that Dino Bravo was involved. Now living in Prague, John spends most of his time trying to work out how Tomohiro Ishii still stands upright. His favourite wrestler of all time is Dean Malenko, but really it is Repo Man. He is the author of 'An Illustrated History of Slavic Misery', the best book about the Slavic people that you haven't yet read. You can get that and others from www.poshlostbooks.com.
