7 Ways To Make Sure Dean Ambrose Is A Successful WWE Champion

4. Defend The Belt Frequently

A difficult one this, but in the case of Dean Ambrose it could for sure work.

It has worked countless times in the past, but by frequently treating a belt as important as well as having it defended frequently leads not only to the improved perception of that belt but also of the champion themselves. John Cena did this most memorably last summer with his US Championship Open Challenge, which did wonders at the time for that particular title.

I'm not beginning to say that Ambrose should be holding World Championship Open Challenges, but by having this no-nonsense champion defending his belt successfully you can establish him as a true champion. Ambrose is extremely popular with the audience, and is as close to a true 'fighting champion' that the company currently has.

The WWE World Heavyweight Championship is also a major prize that causes folk to walk on egg-shells around it, and Ambrose can be the man to blow that away. By being willing (and able) to defend the title frequently, Ambrose will look like a true star on top.

For some reason Sheamus is in my head throughout all of this, a man who can confront Ambrose and refer to him as an opportunistic champion (heels forget their own past of course), leading to Ambrose challenging him to a match there and then. Ambrose wins, Ambrose is established further on top.

Simple.

Born in the middle of Wales in the middle of the 1980's, John can't quite remember when he started watching wrestling but he has a terrible feeling that Dino Bravo was involved. Now living in Prague, John spends most of his time trying to work out how Tomohiro Ishii still stands upright. His favourite wrestler of all time is Dean Malenko, but really it is Repo Man. He is the author of 'An Illustrated History of Slavic Misery', the best book about the Slavic people that you haven't yet read. You can get that and others from www.poshlostbooks.com.
