7 Ways WWE Are Failing Their Own Cruiserweight Division

1. Shooting 205 Live After SmackDown

One thing the Cruiserweight division doesn't need is a standalone show. 205 Live comes across like one of the most unnecessary hours of original content on the WWE Network. Yes, some of the matches are fun, but the best of them usually happen on Raw or pay-per-view anyway, so there's not much point.

Worse, 205 Live is shot immediately following SmackDown and to the same audience who have just sat through that program. This reeks of overkill, and it's easy to spot dwindling crowd numbers as the Cruiserweight show is in progress. WWE need to stop doing this: it's hurting the Cruiserweights with each passing week.

Scrap 205 Live or at least run it before SmackDown. It barely even makes sense that the show revolves around the blue brand anyway, because Cruiserweights are supposed to be exclusive to Monday Night Raw. WWE have dropped the ball badly with this concept.
