7 Ways WWE Can Improve Baron Corbin
2. Give Him A Belt
Baron Corbin is not WWE Champion material, at least not yet. I have no doubt he’ll be in the main event in due time, but his time for an early push to the big leagues has passed. Now he’ll have to work his way up the card the conventional way. With that being said, a solid run with either the Intercontinental Championship or the United States Championship would go a long way towards making Corbin feel like a big deal.
It has been established that Corbin only cares about money and success, rather than making friends, so it’s fitting for him to vie for a mid-card belt and the paycheck that comes with it. I’d go with the Intercontinental Championship in this case, since it would sidestep any connotations of patriotism that come with the US Title, and the IC belt would look great on Corbin’s smiley tummy. Plus, Kevin Owens’ Intercontinental run helped solidify his status as an important heel, and Baron Corbin needs something similar if he is to avoid the wrestling equivalent of being put out to pasture.
