7 Ways WWE Can Reintroduce Dean Ambrose

1. Turning On Roman Reigns

This is the one we all want to see.

Nine months on the shelf gives Dean Ambrose plenty of time to freshen up in the eyes of the fans, and a return as a heel absolutely makes the most sense. RAW is extremely top-heavy right now, but there is a lack of standout heel on the brand. Braun Strowman is now a comic monster babyface, and Brock Lesnar’s part-time status makes The Miz the top heel by default.

Roman Reigns is likely to win the WWE Universal Championship at WrestleMania 34, and he will then defend the big red belt against a variety of opponents over the summer. Dean Ambrose must return from his injury and almost immediately set his sights on Roman Reigns, turning heel on his former partner and becoming his major nemesis in the process. Ambrose should be the man to take the title after the reign of Roman, establishing himself as WWE’s number one heel in the process.

Dean Ambrose has been due a heel turn for at least a year, and this unfortunate injury represents the best chance for it to happen yet. How WWE gets to the end goal of ultra-heel Ambrose remains to be seen, but a violent attack on either Rollins or Reigns makes the most sense. We’ll have to wait a few months to find out how, but it will be worth the wait.
