7 Ways WWE Can Reintroduce Dean Ambrose
2. Continue The Original (Presumed) Story
As mentioned earlier, the assumed story arc of The Shield’s reunion was going to lead to Dean Ambrose turning on Seth Rollins, setting up a major singles match between the two at WrestleMania 34. The two have faced off on WWE TV many times before, but this would see the roles reversed.
Injury put paid to that idea, but who is to say that Ambrose and Rollins can’t just pick up where they left off when Ambrose returns? It doesn’t necessarily have to lead to a WrestleMania match, but Dean and Seth teaming for just about long enough for Ambrose to turn could be the best thing for all involved. It doesn’t mess with the original plan, it just involves an ‘8’ instead of ‘7’ at the end of the year.
It would be a shame for Dean Ambrose and Seth Rollins not to get a major showcase singles match in their new roles. The rivalry between the two has the potential to be everything that WWE wanted John Cena and Randy Orton’s to be, an iconic feud for the ages that spans years and turns and everything in between.
