4. A WrestleMania Homecoming

Many may lament the idea that WWE would throw away a potential ratings spike by having The Hardys make an unadvertised return at WrestleMania 33, but those same lamentations need to take into account the importance of WrestleMania and the current level of popularity the duo have in the WWE Universe. A shocking return at WrestleMania 33 may well be the best idea.

If WWE hadn't recently booked a Tag Team Turmoil match at Elimination Chamber then the easy way to bring them back would be as surprise entries into such a match at 'Mania. It is unlikely that WWE will go to that well twice in two months though, but there is no reason why Gallows & Anderson can't be billed against surprise opponents at The Show of Shows.

With The New Day hosting WrestleMania 33, scope exists for Matt and Jeff to make their return by interrupting the former two-time champs at some point during the night. Whether this should set off the turn mentioned in point number six - or merely act as a feel-good moment on the biggest night of the year - is debatable.

But The Hardys returning to WWE at WrestleMania 33 would be a memorable moment, for sure.

Born in the middle of Wales in the middle of the 1980's, John can't quite remember when he started watching wrestling but he has a terrible feeling that Dino Bravo was involved. Now living in Prague, John spends most of his time trying to work out how Tomohiro Ishii still stands upright. His favourite wrestler of all time is Dean Malenko, but really it is Repo Man. He is the author of 'An Illustrated History of Slavic Misery', the best book about the Slavic people that you haven't yet read. You can get that and others from www.poshlostbooks.com.
