With a bit of a detour in the push of The OC on Raw this week, perhaps some of the momentum is cooling off on the hot new stable. And recruiting new members may be the perfect way to go about regaining some of that back.

Buddy’s style meshes tremendously well with what The OC is about so far. His cocky demeanor and tremendous in-ring talent combine perfectly to make a great candidate for the group. This also goes back to associating Murphy with bigger names. What better way to do that than an actual association with one of WWE’s biggest talents?

A good heel stable like The OC would also do wonders for teaching Buddy how to play his character better. And even though Buddy’s character work has been good so far, learning some tips from some of the best heels going never hurt anybody. Think about how being in the Bullet Club helped all of The OCs' careers for a perfect example.

Plus with Finn Bálor apparently taking some time off, taking in a new member now sets a good precedent for more talent joining up later. And many (if not most) fans have been asking for Bálor to join The Club once again. So why not put the building blocks in place by having their first SmackDown (if the brand split is still believed to matter) roster member join them.
