2. Challenging Shinsuke Nakamura
Think of the quality of the matches a feud like this could create. And with the unlikely alliance of Shinsuke and Sami Zayn, this feud would be a lot more than just a showcase of ability in the ring now as well.
Sami being Nakamura’s mouthpiece in his first major feud (excluding the dropped one with Ali) since Bálor, this could be a great way to let them show that new dynamic off.
While it's sad Sami has been jobbed right out of being a full-time wrestler, it seems he is going to be a fighting manager for Nakamura. This fits both their characters rather well, and would make this feud a lot more interesting.
Having two ultra-cocky heels going at it on the microphone with Shinsuke doing the dirty work in the ring? That sounds like great television waiting to be made. And of course like the rest of the roster has, you can have him beat Sami at some point in a battle of the red beards.
Also, if Buddy were to join The OC, this would be a great way to tie-in Finn Bálor as well. As previously stated, he left for his sabbatical with some unfinished business with Shinsuke. Allowing Finn to return and join by screwing Nakamura out of his title would make for some great long term storytelling.
But perhaps with Buddy’s stock never being higher than it is right now, he could take another shot at gold by...
