7 WCW Jobbers Who Became WWE World Champions

3. Triple H

Yes, the man who now runs WWE and who married into the most successful family in all of wrestling once performed under the name Terra Ryzing.

That's first name "Terra", second name "Ryzing".

To be fair, Trips was using this name before he appeared in WCW, but, to also be fair, it's a rubbish name and should have been scrapped immediately. Mr. Ryzing had a dozen matches for WCW, including one for the Television Championship, before he changed his name and character to Jean-Paul Levesque.

Levesque was a snooty Frenchman who looked down on everyone who he saw as beneath him. It was a essentially a proto version of the Hunter Hearst Helmsley gimmick. As Levesque, Triple H lost to the likes of Alex Wright, Johnny B. Badd, and Dustin Rhodes before leaving the company in 1995.

After that, he disappeared. Kidding, obviously.

What followed was a whirlwind career that saw Triple H go from an upper-class snob to a degenerate to a cerebral assassin to one of the most powerful figures in the company.

He's certainly come a long way since Terra Ryzing. Then again, he could have become a milkman and still come a long way since Terra Ryzing.
