7 Weaknesses WWE's Next Generation Stars Need To Fix

6. Dolph Ziggler Needs To Get More Serious And Maybe Show Off Less

A lot of the guys on the list have only been in WWE for a handful of years. Ziggler's been there for nearly 10 years and as somebody in his mid-30s he's at a point where he's one of the most experienced guys on the roster. Like everybody in wrestling, there are things that need to change with him. While his gimmick is that of the "show off" he clearly isn't going to get farther with that character because quick frankly there are dozens of wrestlers in the history in the business that were a cocky performer that was overconfident. What Ziggler needs to do in order to get taken more seriously is become more serious. We know that Ziggler loves the over the top bumps, but it wouldn't be a bad idea if he toned it down a bit. For one thing those kinds of bumps could lead to injuries because he's had concussions in the past. He knows that going at a fast pace is what the fans like about him. At some point, though, he has to change it up a bit. If Ziggler was a more serious character that was given a storyline that allowed the fans to really get behind him then he could thrive. When he has had a really deep angle? Doesn't happen. It's all basic stuff. It's a shame he hasn't had something he could really sink his teeth into because he could thrive in that kind of role.
