7 Worst General Managers In WWE History

4. Brad Maddox

The recently fired GM of Raw served as an assistant to the "Managing Supervisor" Vickie Guerrero before he was named GM in July of 2013. It's not really his fault that he was a bad GM. He was just booked poorly and in a way where his spot wasn't even necessary. One month after he was appointed in the role of GM, Triple H turned heel along with Randy Orton and Stephanie McMahon also became a heel authority figure as well. When you have two heel authority figures of that stature then there's no need for anybody else. Why would they appoint him to the spot in July of 2013 if they knew Hunter was going heel? It was totally unnecessary. They did treat him like a puppet, but they really didn't need anybody in that spot. The amazing thing is that they actually kept Maddox in the role for nearly a year even though he barely did anything during that time. There were weeks where we wouldn't even the see the guy and if we did it was only to do the "Teddy Long Special" where he would book a tag team match after some verbal disagreement in the ring. There's never been an active GM that was booked less on a show he was supposed to run. Maddox isn't a bad performer. He has a good presence on screen. It's just a matter of finding the right role for him whether it's a wrestler or a manager. The GM role just didn't work for him like WWE hoped it would.
