7 Worst Possible Fates In AEW
1. Fall Off A Forklift
Poor Matt Hardy. Anyone who's ever delved into the history of The Hardy Boyz will be well aware of his levels of creativity and how much of what made this legendary tag team one of the greatest of all time came from his brain. Despite having to at times live in Jeff's shadow, this changed enormously in TNA and on the indies when Matt's Broken Matt Hardy character became one of the most popular in the business.
Having returned to WWE for one more run with Jeff, earning one of the biggest pops in WrestleMania history at WrestleMania 31, the duo eventually fizzled out, went their separate ways, and Matt debuted in AEW back in 2020. As if going from a stadium-sized debut in WWE to an empty Daily's Place during COVID wasn't a big enough fall from grace, Matt took a literal fall for the ages while in AEW.
During a Broken Rules Match with Sammy Guevara at All Out 2020, where falls would count anywhere under hardcore rules, Matt was speared off of a forklift truck. Presumably, he was supposed to go through the table waiting below, but Guevara overshot his landing, leaving Matt to hit his head on the concrete floor below, suffering a concussion for his troubles. The message from this gaffe is clear. Don't spear people from the top of forklift trucks.
