7 Worst Wrestling Moments Of The Week (Apr 23)

7. RIP Rosey

3 Minute Warning
WWE

Matt Anoa'i passed away this week and was only 47-years-old. There have been many heartfelt messages from his co-workers and family members over social media, but I can only speak about him from a fan's perspective. Basically I just wanted to state...and I know this may sound crazy, but 3 Minute Warning may be my favorite tag team of all time, and it sucks that both members died so young.

I realize that there have been many teams who were better in-ring workers, or who drew more money or created more iconic moments and whatnot, but for the brief time that 3 Minute Warning was around, I just absolutely loved the hell out of them. They came around when The Attitude Era was just ending, and WWE was struggling to find something that worked. In an era that I struggled to find anything to care about, those two kept me hooked.

Very few things ever made me mark out as much as Eric Bischoff pulling out his watch and saying “Wait a second...did I just say...3 Minutes?” and then Rosey and Jamal running out of nowhere to mess some guys up bad. It should have lasted years longer.

It’s a shame that Roman Reigns lost his brother far before his time, and it's sad that the WWE lost a talented and well-loved member of their family. I wish both guys were still around to warn us. Rest in peace big man.

As Rust Cohle from True Detective said "Life's barely long enough to get good at one thing. So be careful what you're good at." Sadly, I can't solve a murder like Rust...or change a tire, or even tie a tie. But I do know all the lyrics to Hulk Hogan's "Real American" theme song and can easily name every Natural Born Thriller from the dying days of WCW. I was once ranked 21st in the United States in Tetris...on the Playstation 3 version...for about a week. Follow along @AndrewSoucek and check out my podcast at wrestlingwithfriends.com
