7 Worst Wrestling Moments Of The Week (Apr 23)

6. The Fast And Furiously Awful Dialogue

Naomi Charlotte
WWE.com

Charlotte is the most talented woman in WWE, but she’s the worst written character in the company (give or take a Bray Wyatt). For some reason, she has become the go-to wrestler to say dumb, obvious, ham-fisted pop culture references.

Are we really supposed to believe that either on the spot or right before her promo, Charlotte came up with this in regards to Daniel Bryan and Shane McMahon:

“Maybe they’re binge watching the Fast and Furious, well I’m fastly getting furious!”

Dumb. Garbage dialogue! Garbage I say!

Multiple times in the past she had to shoehorn in dialogue about Camp WWE, or Table for 3, or other WWE Network offerings. It comes across as incredibly obvious and damages her character. Maybe a Bayley-like act could get away with having to spew out stuff like that, but not The Queen. Her dialogue was worse and less necessary than Smurfs: The Lost Village.

As Rust Cohle from True Detective said "Life's barely long enough to get good at one thing. So be careful what you're good at." Sadly, I can't solve a murder like Rust...or change a tire, or even tie a tie. But I do know all the lyrics to Hulk Hogan's "Real American" theme song and can easily name every Natural Born Thriller from the dying days of WCW. I was once ranked 21st in the United States in Tetris...on the Playstation 3 version...for about a week. Follow along @AndrewSoucek and check out my podcast at wrestlingwithfriends.com
