7 Worst Wrestling Moments Of The Week (July 2)

Sasha Banks has lost a lot of steam over the past few months. Since there aren’t many women on Raw, she was kind of an afterthought while Alexa Bliss and Bayley took the marquee feud. Her pairing with Rich Swann doesn’t appear to have done much for her and now she’s back in the limelight. That didn’t go so hot either.

The main event match of Raw was historic. It was the longest women's main event in company history. It was also pretty destructive for the entire division.

Basically, Nia Jax is better than other woman on Raw combined. Times 10. When Dana Brooke and Emma can only last a single minute against a woman who has already wrestled a match, well, they probably shouldn't have jobs as professional fighters. Mickie James too. This is all speaking from a kayfabe perspective, but now matches featuring those three are more worthless than ever, because anyone who struggles to beat them also looks ineffective.

What made it even weirder was the reaction to Sasha's win. Kurt Angle came out with a big grin on his face and congratulated her on her amazing accomplishment...of beating a woman who had just beat four other women by herself.

WWE's intent was in the right place here, but the result further exposed how desperately troubling the Raw Women's Division really is.

As Rust Cohle from True Detective said "Life's barely long enough to get good at one thing. So be careful what you're good at." Sadly, I can't solve a murder like Rust...or change a tire, or even tie a tie. But I do know all the lyrics to Hulk Hogan's "Real American" theme song and can easily name every Natural Born Thriller from the dying days of WCW. I was once ranked 21st in the United States in Tetris...on the Playstation 3 version...for about a week. Follow along @AndrewSoucek and check out my podcast at wrestlingwithfriends.com
