3. It’s Not That Hard

Before Slammiversary, it was announced Global Force Wrestling would take over Impact Wrestling once and for all. Except it was never really mentioned on the actual show. Jeff Jarrett didn’t talk about it in his grand return to the promotion for some reason. Then Thursday came around and again nobody bothered to talk about it.

This is only leading to mass confusion. Now, instead of having the GFW Heavyweight Title, we have the Undisputed Unified World Heavyweight Championship. Is this a joke, Jeff Jarrett?

Once again, TNA/Impact/GFW has a major identity crisis on their hand. After Eric Bischoff and Hulk Hogan came in, the company barely talked about "TNA" and everything suddenly became “Impact", which was the name of the show. Well, kind of everything. TNA was still there as it remained the official title of the company.

This year those initials died for good supposedly and Jarrett apologized in interviews for creating market confusion. So why is he doing it again? How is it possible that no one has taken to the air to officially announce the change and get rid of all the unified titles?

Perhaps fans shouldn't have expected more. If GFW/Impact can't even go through with their "Name the Anthem Owl" promotion, how can they possibly be expected to name themselves?

As Rust Cohle from True Detective said "Life's barely long enough to get good at one thing. So be careful what you're good at." Sadly, I can't solve a murder like Rust...or change a tire, or even tie a tie. But I do know all the lyrics to Hulk Hogan's "Real American" theme song and can easily name every Natural Born Thriller from the dying days of WCW. I was once ranked 21st in the United States in Tetris...on the Playstation 3 version...for about a week. Follow along @AndrewSoucek and check out my podcast at wrestlingwithfriends.com
