7 Worst Wrestling Moments Of The Week (July 9)
1. WrestleRap Rumble
How does a TV show have guys dressed as unicorns and make a reference to Xavier Woods having sex with Paige while Brad Maddox filmed it all in the same segment? Just another wacky week in WWE.
New Day was decimated in their rap battle, to the point the crowd booed them for winning. While this segment wasn’t quite as bad as the LaVar Ball fiasco, it further showed how clueless Vince McMahon is. The thing is, The Usos are cool. They don’t laugh hysterically at all their own jokes, they’re actually clever, they look tough, and they hang out with other tough and cool looking people.
On the other side, New Day skips to the ring, they nearly die laughing at their own tired humor, and they hang out with people dressed as idiots. Most adult fans would rather join the cool guys than the lame ones. But this is WWE, where bright and colorful and pandering to the audience (see John Cena for the past 12 years) is pushed as something the audience should aggressively cheer for, all to the sound of falling ratings.
While the Usos were edgy, New Day went for “We call him Jim...never worked out at a gym.” Huh? Then they had another fat joke up their sleeve. Then another fat jokes. Then a few more. Fat jokes for all! Oh yes, and it was all topped off with “Weenie do.” Weenie...do. Weenie. Do.
Weenie don't.
Don't ever do it again.
Time to kick out.
