7 Worst Wrestling Moments Of The Week (June 11)

7. Just Drop!

Sheamus Steel Cage

At Extreme Rules, WWE did something fairly impressive. They made all four people in a match look like idiots! The Hardys vs. Sheamus and Cesaro made not a one of them look like intelligent human beings who had ever seen a cage match before.

I wish I liked cage matches in WWE. It's such a classic concept but they're so amazingly silly. Why? Because someone needs to LOCK. THAT. DOOR! Anyone who doesn't try to walk out of it is wasting way too much energy. That's why you open a door to get into your house and don't climb over a fence to get in. It's quite impractical.

The match was pretty good but that ending was awful. Sheamus and Cesaro looked like fools for deciding to let go of the cage only when the ground was two feet below them. This is despite the two clearly looking at Matt trying to drag his dead brother out of the ring. And then, when did a wrestler having to leave the cage twice if they came back in become a thing? Why weren't we informed of that?

Cage matches really haven't meant anything in years but WWE continues to insult our intelligent with how poorly they're booked.

As Rust Cohle from True Detective said "Life's barely long enough to get good at one thing. So be careful what you're good at." Sadly, I can't solve a murder like Rust...or change a tire, or even tie a tie. But I do know all the lyrics to Hulk Hogan's "Real American" theme song and can easily name every Natural Born Thriller from the dying days of WCW. I was once ranked 21st in the United States in Tetris...on the Playstation 3 version...for about a week. Follow along @AndrewSoucek and check out my podcast at wrestlingwithfriends.com
