7 Worst Wrestling Moments Of The Week (June 11)

5. Park And Borash

Joseph Park
Impact Wrestling

Slammiversary is only a few weeks away and, no joke, no hyperbole, Jeremy Borash and Joseph Park vs. Scott Steiner and Josh Mathews has received more hype than every other scheduled match on the show combined. And that is a very bad thing.

No one liked Evil Michael Cole. No one liked when Jerry Lawler and Jim Ross battled Al Snow and Jonathan Coachman. Announcers aren’t interesting when they're fighting each other. There’s a good reason why they are the ones explaining what happens on the shows and not being the stars of it.

This week Park and J.B. trained in a rundown gym, tossed a medicine ball back and forth, and belly flopped into a pool. Seems like a waste of TV time to me! Plus, the audio was atrocious. A windscreen is a thing that exists and can be purchased to put on a camera to prevent the sound of crackling wind noises. Impact did not use one of these relatively inexpensive devices for these skits.

The Slammiversary match is going to stink, but worse than that, there has been absolutely no stipulation involved yet. So if Borash wins, then what? Considering Impact thinks this is quality television, I'm starting to wonder if J.B. vs. Josh is going to main event Bound for Glory...in 2018.

As Rust Cohle from True Detective said "Life's barely long enough to get good at one thing. So be careful what you're good at." Sadly, I can't solve a murder like Rust...or change a tire, or even tie a tie. But I do know all the lyrics to Hulk Hogan's "Real American" theme song and can easily name every Natural Born Thriller from the dying days of WCW. I was once ranked 21st in the United States in Tetris...on the Playstation 3 version...for about a week. Follow along @AndrewSoucek and check out my podcast at wrestlingwithfriends.com
