7 Worst Wrestling Moments Of The Week (June 18)

3. Lee’s Loss

Impact drew their second-highest rating of the year this week. That’s good. They also buried Trevor Lee in two minutes by having him job to Braxton Sutter. That’s not good.

If you don't know Trevor Lee right now, you probably will in a few years when he's a star in WWE. He's a talented guy who should be pushed as the face of the X Division. He’s easily good enough to be on 205 Live, except that 205 Live is a place you wouldn't wish upon your worst enemy. Unfortunately, Impact isn’t doing Lee much good either.

Look at WWE’s roster right now. Samoa Joe, A.J. Styles, and Bobby Roode are all major players on their respective brands. Impact could have kept all of them had they not wasted their prime years and squandered their own finances by giving a ton of money to former WWE/WCW castoffs. As the giant on Twin Peaks would say "It is happening again."

Impact continues making things way too complicated. The thing is, Braxton Sutter is fine. You could say he's even pretty good. But it's highly unlikely he will ever be a star. Lee has the potential to become one, so he should be protected and treated like one. But no matter who is in charge, investing in the most talented people on the roster is a lesson Impact has somehow never learned.

As Rust Cohle from True Detective said "Life's barely long enough to get good at one thing. So be careful what you're good at." Sadly, I can't solve a murder like Rust...or change a tire, or even tie a tie. But I do know all the lyrics to Hulk Hogan's "Real American" theme song and can easily name every Natural Born Thriller from the dying days of WCW. I was once ranked 21st in the United States in Tetris...on the Playstation 3 version...for about a week. Follow along @AndrewSoucek and check out my podcast at wrestlingwithfriends.com
