7 Worst Wrestling Moments Of The Week (June 18)
2. Nia Doesn’t Watch Raw...Like Most People
Very few things in all of WWE are harder to understand than their complete inability to keep their narrative structure straight. Do wrestlers know they are being filmed backstage or do they not? Do wrestlers know they can also buy a TV and rewatch what happened on the show they star on or do they not?
It doesn’t seem too complicated of a system to design but Vince McMahon has failed at explaining this for over 30 years.
On Raw, Nia Jax had to be informed that Bliss wasn’t exactly on the up-and-up and was told she trashed talked her the week before backstage. NO WAY (Jose?). So in that entire week, Jax didn't get a text or call from anyone, didn't read any recaps of the show, and didn't bother to watch it either? Or, is her character unaware she's on a TV show and thinks everything happens but is never aired? And if so, why doesn't that apply to everyone? For example, how did Brock Lesnar know that Paul Heyman was attacked if he wasn't aware there is a TV show called "Raw?"
To nitpick the segment some more, Mickie James said Bliss has a “long way to go” to reach her territory of becoming a six-time champion. Really though, that's not a good goal to have. That means Bliss has to lose her title five more times. And just a few weeks ago, Bliss beat her in like three minutes clean. That’s something that happened. Bliss could have busted that fact out for the perfect comeback, but WWE doesn’t treat things that aired on their own shows as relevant material to be used in current storylines. Oh, and to top it all off Emma returned and jobbed in her first match back.
Yep, nothing good came from this whatsoever. Eh, they'll just forget about it next week.
