7 Worst Wrestling Moments Of The Week (June 25)

2. What Pay-Per-View?

Swoggle And Rockstar Spud
Impact

Does that image make you more or less likely to spend $40 on a pay-per-view? If it does, well...more power to you. But that is the question Impact should be asking themselves with this months-long feud between Rockstar Spud and Swoggle.

With less than two weeks of time to build Slammiversary, the company continued to screw around and do goofy, WWE-like comedy this week. They seem incapable of feeling any sort of urgency. They just slack off for months, then at the last minute promise fans that one of their two pay-per-views of the year will be great. Now give them that $40!

Spud and Swoggle have beaten each other with hammers. Pants have been pulled down. And yet, through all of this there isn't even a match booked for Slammiversary! It will probably go down but the company can't even bother to set that up more than a week in advance.

Hopefully the company gets this out of their system, as along with Joseph Park and JB, their bizarre love of cornball humor is badly dragging this show down.

As Rust Cohle from True Detective said "Life's barely long enough to get good at one thing. So be careful what you're good at." Sadly, I can't solve a murder like Rust...or change a tire, or even tie a tie. But I do know all the lyrics to Hulk Hogan's "Real American" theme song and can easily name every Natural Born Thriller from the dying days of WCW. I was once ranked 21st in the United States in Tetris...on the Playstation 3 version...for about a week. Follow along @AndrewSoucek and check out my podcast at wrestlingwithfriends.com
