5. Shane Can’t Punch

It's easy to rant about how absurd it is that a 47-year-old man who has wrestled three times in the past eight years is booked to be as tough as a recent WWE Champion. There is a lot to say about that. It's also worth mentioning how frustrating it is to see a McMahon member featured so heavily on a wrestling show. However, a reason why this is even more ridiculous is due to the simple fact that Shane McMahon has never, ever learned how to throw a convincing punch.

A.J. Styles is probably paid pretty well by WWE, but no one who has made it out of a wrestling training camp should have to sell that kind of weak offense. Shane's rabbit attacks are light, they miss half the time and there's no sort of wind up to them. He looks out of place, like he's trying out for a Major League Baseball team, but has never even hit a ball off a tee.

As we've come to learn, Shane's only redeeming trait is his uncanny ability to fall off of things. He's like Mick Foley, but with 5% of the talent. It's a shame he gets to look like a human daredevil, knowing that if he does get busted up he can take the next year off of work and be just fine financially. No actual wrestler in the company can do the same.

WrestleMania can't come soon enough. Not because the show is looking overly exciting, but so the boss's son can go back to not playing a superhero on TV. Hopefully when he gets his 'Mania 34 match he learns how to throw a freaking punch by then.

As Rust Cohle from True Detective said "Life's barely long enough to get good at one thing. So be careful what you're good at." Sadly, I can't solve a murder like Rust...or change a tire, or even tie a tie. But I do know all the lyrics to Hulk Hogan's "Real American" theme song and can easily name every Natural Born Thriller from the dying days of WCW. I was once ranked 21st in the United States in Tetris...on the Playstation 3 version...for about a week. Follow along @AndrewSoucek and check out my podcast at wrestlingwithfriends.com
