7 Worst Wrestling Moments Of The Week (May 7)

4. Pay Attention

Booker T

Booker T had a rough night on Monday. He said he gave Dean Ambrose Kurt Angle's phone number, but Ambrose had already said that it was Mick Foley who gave it to him. When Matt and Jeff Hardy Hardy charged the ring to scare off Sheamus and Cesaro, Booker said "Pick your poison." Pick your poison? Zuh? That's not the right context to use that phrase. But most damning of all was that he liked Rich Swann when he first came out earlier in the night, and then later didn't like "RICK" Swann, because he smiles all the time.

As good as Booker was in WCW and in WWE as a wrestler, he doesn't really say anything that valuable on commentary. Actually, it's more like he says things that either don't make any sense or he just talks to fill a few seconds worth of airtime without really thinking if what he said has any connection to what's playing out in front of him. This is probably the one time you should feel bad for Michael Cole.

You would think for your application to be a professional wrestling announcer, the question "Will you be able to consistently remember if you are a face or heel for two consecutive matches?" would be near the top of that list.

As Rust Cohle from True Detective said "Life's barely long enough to get good at one thing. So be careful what you're good at." Sadly, I can't solve a murder like Rust...or change a tire, or even tie a tie. But I do know all the lyrics to Hulk Hogan's "Real American" theme song and can easily name every Natural Born Thriller from the dying days of WCW. I was once ranked 21st in the United States in Tetris...on the Playstation 3 version...for about a week. Follow along @AndrewSoucek and check out my podcast at wrestlingwithfriends.com
