7 Wrestlers Who Could Anchor WWE's New Cruiserweight Division

4. Finn Balor

There's a lot to like about NXT newcomer Finn Balor (former Prince Devitt), who debuted this past Thursday by saving his good friend Hideo Itami. He's been brought in as a babyface performer that fans are going to like because he's an athletic guy with a strong personality that's there to kick ass from the moment he gets into the ring. There's definitely a toughness about him and he has the look of a badass Irishman too. Balor has been wrestling for over a decade and much like the others mentioned on here, he's got a lot of experience wresting all over the world. It might take him a few months to get used to the WWE style, but once he fully grasps it he's going to shine. Hopefully WWE will allow him to do some of the body painting that he did in Japan because that stuff really made him stand out from the pack too. He fits the Cruiserweight style perfectly since he weighs around 190 pounds, but he doesn't really look like a small guy. He's built and carries himself like a star, which goes a long way to making the fans believe in a performer. It's only a matter of time before Balor becomes a big deal in WWE. He can be successful as a heel or face although it looks like he's starting out as a face. Putting him in the ring with other Cruiserweights will help him immediately. His ability to cut promos is also going to help as well. He would be a great guy to anchor WWE's Cruiserweight division.
