Although this movie isn't actually released for just over a month, we're now all very aware of the fact that WWE superstar Dave "Batista" Bautista is playing Drax the Destroyer - an alien warrior in a galactic search of vengeance against Ronan the Accuser and Thanos after his family is killed. As the movie has yet to be released, little is known about how this casting will pan out. One thing seems to stand in Bautista's favour, however - Marvel Studios rarely get a casting wrong. That said, Conan star Jason Momoa was said to be Marvel's first choice for the role of Drax, but he turned it down. Bautista's makeup is said to have taken approximately four hours to be applied every day on set, but it was able to be removed in 90 minutes, making for a very gruelling schedule for the wrestler-turned-actor. Let's hope the dedication pays off with a solid performance in what everyone is hoping will be an epic Marvel Cinematic Universe instalment.
