7 Wrestlers You Didn't Know Did MMA

5. Bart Gunn

Bart Gunn Mma What is Bart Gunn most remembered for by WWE fans? Was it the NWA invasion angle? Nope. His multiple tag team title reigns as a member of the Smokin' Gunns? No way. He's best remembered for being knocked out by Butterbean in a matter of seconds at WrestleMania 15. After a solid five year WWE career, unfortunately that's what Bart Gunn was reduced to. After running roughshod over the WWE's poorly planned Brawl-for-All tournament, Gunn was given the 'prize' of facing Butterbean in a boxing bout at the showcase of the immortals in 1999. He'd never be able to shake that memory in America. Despite the embarrassing loss, Bart Gunn, who was renamed Mike Barton would go on to have a stellar career in Japan, even reigniting his shoot fighting days in 2006. In June of that year, he gained a bit of retribution, defeating UFC veteran Wesley "Cabbage" Correira in under two minutes via TKO. Later that year, Gunn would compete in the heavily successful PRIDE FC, losing to Japanese legend Ikushi Minowa, ending his MMA career.
